When BedBugs Bite (Page 5)

A Poem by R. Renée Bembry

What happens is

I must tell you

Bedbugs bite while

You're in a snooze

In this vile way

You do not see

The trail of bugs

Crawling on you

But that's not all

You see—those pests

Do something you

Might never guess

They numb you so

You will not feel

Their pinches and

To keep you still

<<<Go back

I was rolling in the grass,

And then I started itchin'.

So, I ran into the house

Where Mom was in the kitchen.

I said, "Momma, stop this itchin' please.

It feels like I've been bit by fleas.

I'm itchin' itchin', on my knees.

I'm itchin', underneath my sleeves.
