Slip On A Banana ~ All Mixed Up!

A Children's Poem  By R. Renée Bembry

This mixed up poem begins with slipping on a banana but is likely to end up almost anywhere! Come along for the ride... or read... Just join the fun - that is! :}

Slip On A Bana Poem...

All Mixed Up!!

Slip on a banana

All I wanted to do

But once fingers peeled it

Mouth began to chew

Poke holes in a baggie

Would let lemonade spew

But when scissors cut it

Carved out a kangaroo

Short walk to the market

Was all I wanted to shoe

When rounding wide corner

Saw store down Long Avenue

Stepping into your snow prints

Makes you easier to trace

But while down at the river

You cleared your path with dace

Pull out the crab weed root

Would help my garden look nice

But when I yanked and tugged it

It flattened me like a bread slice

Children love watching trials and tribulations

of Thomas the Tank Engine along with his train

friends Henry, Gordon, twins Annie and

Clarabel, Bash, Butch, James, Rosie, and the

rest. But trains cannot run along tracks without

direction so let us not leave out Sir Topham

Hatt the trusty railway controller. No

program keeps children on the edges

of their seats while bringing as much

adventure or as many mishaps as

they experience watching

Thomas and his railroad gang.

Here's a nice long Thomas the Tank Engine

towel that adds pleasure to swimming and bathing!
