Welcome to MyStoriesAndPoems.com
...where children turn budding poems
into flowering perfection, plus, learn to store, safely view, and share precious writing, critiques, and poetry pages. All of this and more is easily accomplished using MSAP's innovative poetry-writing and poetry collecting techniques. Site master and program creator, R. Renée Bembry, has taught many children to write and learn from poetry. Girls and boys alike who thought they could not write, or did not think they had an interest in poetry, discovered the beauty and fun poetry brings and turned out wonderful poems.
Happening Now! In celebration of National Poetry Month, MyStoriesAndPoems.com will strive to write a poem every day for thirty days and post each in the MSAP Blog. Check out the blog to follow along, leave comments, and to add verses of your own... Later, some verses from the 30-day collection will be posted at this site...
OVERVIEWS
Poetry Workshops - MSAP Poetry-Writing Workshops are for classrooms, home-schoolers, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and just about any kids' group or club including parties. MSAP workshops teach children how poetry can improve their reading and writing skills as they read stories and write poems. Workshop information is located on Educator's Page.
Poetry Contests - MSAP Poetry Contests let children match their poetry-writing skills with other children's skills. Competing against their peers incites children to work harder on improving their talent. Some contests include free poetry-writing critiques for submitted poems. Poetry contests take place in-class and online and are open to individual children, classes, and other public and private organizations.

Poetry Collections - MSAP Poetry Collections encourage children to read stories and poems and to write poems using methods that enable them to improve reading, comprehension, and writing skills. These skills transition from poetry writing into classroom/home-school writing improvement.
